Hello beautiful people! I’m not sure if you have been keeping up with me on social media, but I have had a lot going on lately.

Lights and Cameras

I announced over the summer that I will be a minor character in the faith-based movie, Behind Church Doors.

Behind Church Doors is a brand new movie about confrontation with the past, fellowship with the saints, and overcoming temptation. You can read more about my character here. 

It is based on a book series by Sylvia Brown-Roberts and directed by Dr. Tracy Worley. 

The movie began filming in Baltimore, MD in July. 

However, because of the cases of the various COVID variants, the director of the Christian film and her team decided it would be best that we halt production for safety. Dr. Worley predicts we can continue in the new year. 

Precaution

While I am a little bummed out that production has stopped, I am glad that it has. This new Omicron variant isn’t making things better. 

I’m glad the director and her team care about us enough to keep us safe.

We live in an era where people rather make money, than care, cultivate, or consider their employees or peers. 

I admire how Mrs. Sylvia and Dr. Worley have a heart. Even though this project is their baby and they have been working on it for years, they understand precaution comes first. 

I will say they are keeping the morale going. They are working on a small project that keeps us actors excited as well as the public. 

While I am sure the public is ready for a new Christian movie (look at Dear White People Volume 4 episode 4 where they mention Christian movies) and I’m ready to bring a character to life, I feel returning to set in 2022 is a better plan. Oftentimes, we’re not looking at the bigger picture when it comes to things in life. 

The Lord has a better plan.
