KERSHAW COUNTY, SC – Kesha L. Hayes is a changemaker because of her focus on the aging population and developing healthcare professionals through her various brands.

This is straight from her bio, “Kesha L. Hayes is an accomplished leader in the healthcare field, known for her dedication to professional growth and her expertise in aging. She’s the CEO and Owner of Professional Development and Training Services, LLC, a respected institution focused on developing caregivers and healthcare professionals in the Southeastern region.”

You read that right. PDTS, LLC trains the professionals who work with your loved ones in the aging population.

Building for a long term goal

“Thank you for writing those stories as they were able to bring awareness to the community about the services we offered,” she said to Wilson about previous stories. “At the time you interviewed me, I had a long-term goal but was just getting started so I wanted to build slow.”

Hayes has definitely been building! She now has four businesses and do about five to six activities yearly through them.

Her Brands

Hayes is also the founder of the Aging Beauties Experience, which includes the non-profit agency Caring for Aging Beauties (C.A.B.). In addition, she runs Caring for Aging Beauties Home Care, LLC, which provides in-home care for seniors.

Rena Wellness, named after Kesha’s grandmother, is a testament to her commitment to self-care and lifestyle changes. She is an Amazon Best Selling Author of books, “Boldly Inspired,” “The Move,” “Keepsake Journal of Wisdom,” and soon to be released, “Under the Oak Tree: Wisdom from Aging Beauties.”

Kesha L. Hayes is all smiles as she sits next to the books she has published over the years.

One of her significant accomplishments is the creation of Senior Service Day, which received a Governor’s Proclamation for the entire state of South Carolina. The event is focused on companionship and social engagement, reflecting Kesha’s lifelong commitment to advocating for those who cannot speak up for themselves and raising standards in the healthcare industry, employee culture, and seniors’ well-being.

She etched her name in history by becoming the inaugural female President of the Camden Lions Club. Her additional responsibilities include serving as vice president of the Francis Marion University Alumni Association. This is groundbreaking because she is serving alongside another African-American woman! This is the first time in the university’s history that two African-American women simultaneously hold these distinguished roles.

Kesha is Women’s History

“I am considered a part of women’s history because my experiences, actions and contributions are valuable and significant,” Hayes said. “Women’s history is not just about famous figures or extraordinary achievements; it encompasses the diverse stories and experiences of women from all walks of life. I am that woman!”

She said her unique perspective, struggles, triumphs, and contributions — no matter how big or small — contribute to the rich tapestry of women’s history.

“My existence and my journey are important parts of the ongoing narrative of women’s rights, equality, and empowerment,” she said. “Whether it’s breaking barriers, which I have done, advocating for change, or simply living my life authentically as a woman, I am shaping history in my own way.”
